Esteemed members of the Academy of Vinyl Toys and Culture,

The nominations are in for The 2009 Robos! The Robos are the highest award Kidrobot can bestow, honoring those who made this year memorable. Our nominees represent the best that their field has to offer, chosen from nominations submitted by peers and fans. Congratulations to all of our nominees.

But now it’s up to you to choose the best of the best in each category! It’s your responsibility to make sure the most deserving get the recognition they deserve.

Don’t forget that prizes will go out to those who participate and help choose this year’s winners.

    yaaa ummm, the majority of the poll was based around pop-culture stuff…. keep it more focused around the toys… they have feelings too!

    The french bulldog puppy video makes me sad. My english bulldog gets stuck on his back sometimes and he gets super stressed out.

    Best Customizer of 2009 = 64 Colors (His marshalls (marshmallow guy) that he painted on ROCK!!)

    Best Convention of 2009 = Dragon Con

    Best sculpt of 2009 = Chris Ryniak’s FREYJA

    Best mass produced artwork on a platform toy = Angry Woebot’s panda on the Disney Stitch toy from MindStyle

    toy(s) taking too long to come out = Ron English’s Popaganda minifigures

    best knock-off toy = Thomas the Train as a Transformer

    How could Batman not be included in the Breakthrough Video Game of 2009. 3 of the 4 are sequels, and Batman was the first truly good game based on a comic book
